Repel lawn-destroying moles and gophers without the use of chemicals or poisons with the Sweeney's twin pack of Sonic Spikes. Nontoxic and easy to use, Sonic Spikes are ideal for households with children and pets.
The Sonic Spike emits a sonic pulse every 30 seconds.
Send Moles and Gophers Scurrying
Each spike works by emitting a sonic pulse that penetrates the soil every 30 seconds. The pulse produces a sound that's highly irritating to moles and gophers, which are exceptionally sensitive to sound and vibrations. In response, the rodents scurry away to avoid the noise. Leave the Sonic Spikes in the ground to repel new generations of pests, and then remove the spikes when flooding is predicted or before the ground freezes.
Easy to Activate
To use, make pilot holes in the ground with a wooden or steel rod, then insert the Sonic Spikes into the soil so the caps are flush with the ground. It's important to keep the caps flush so you don't hit them with your lawnmower or create a tripping hazard. The effectiveness of the product depends largely upon soil type. Moist clay is the best sound conductor, whereas dry, sandy, or peat soil does not conduct sonic waves as easily. For best results, use the Sonic Spikes continuously for 7 to 14 days.
The Sonic Spikes come equipped with convenient, removable battery sleeves for trouble-free battery replacement. The twin pack of Sonic Spikes--which treats up to 15,000 square feet--runs for four to six months on D-cell alkaline batteries. The units carry a five-year warranty.
